Charles P. Wood's Obituary
Charles Wood, 90, passed away at home. Friday, July 23, 2010. He retired from the Defense Depot after 30 years of service and then worked 20 years for Memorial Park Funeral Home and Cemetery, retiring on his 80th birthday. He was a Captain in the U.S. Army during WWII and the Korean Wars. His favorite hobby was picture framing. Charles is survived by his wife of 69 years, Mildred, two daughters, Charlsie (Gene) Carrol, Janice (Steve) White; three grandchildren, Stacey, Brad, Nicole; three great-grandchildren, Houston, Haley and Tony. Visitation will be Tuesday, July 27 at noon until service time at 2:00 p.m., all being held at Memorial Park Funeral Home. Memorials may be sent to Grimes Memorial United Methodist Church, where he was a long time member.
