Charles Tate's Obituary
Charles Leo Tate passed away on July 21, 2015, in Memphis. He was born August 16, 1949, in Jonesboro, AR, one of five children, having two brothers and two sisters. He was a graduate of Arkansas School for the Deaf. He was an employee of AS Hospitality, serving as a pressman since 1974. He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Rosita, having met her at AS Hospitality. They have three children, Jennifer (Clay), Joseph, and Stephen ( Nikki ), and two granddaughters, Anna and Stella. Charles served in many leadership roles at First Baptist Church, Memphis, and Kirby Woods Baptist Church. He was ordained as a deacon in 2011. He attended the Southern Baptist Conference of the Deaf (SBCD) and Tennessee Baptist Conference of the Deaf (TBCD). He loved his wife, children, his church and Jesus. Private Internment was held at Memorial Park Cemetery prior to memorial service.
