Charles "Charlie" Sturdivant's Obituary
Charles “Charlie” Sturdivant, 62, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, August 14, 2025. He graduated high school in 1981 from First Christian Assembly where he exceled in football, baseball, and basketball. He received his associates degree from State Tech in mechanical engineering. He worked for CBRE for over two decades before transitioning into sales at the Lightbulb Depot.
Charlie had a great sense of humor and made everyone in the room laugh. He had a personality larger than life and never met a stranger. In his free time, he enjoyed fishing and playing golf with his family and spending time with family and grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents Donna and Bobby Sturdivant. He is survived by his wife Pam Sturdivant, two children, Kristen Ryan (Michael), Austin Sturdivant (Payton), by his three grandchildren, Tre and Beau Ryan, Colette Sturdivant, one sister, Barbara Tucker (Keith), two brothers, Terry and Glen Sturdivant.
Charlie attended church at River City in Bartlett, TN. He gave his life over to the Lord and wasn’t afraid to share with others what the Lord had done in his life. His favorite bible verse that he called upon was Isaiah 41:10 “Do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand”
The visitation will be held Tuesday, August 19th, 2025, at Memorial Park Funeral Home and Cemetery from 11:00 a.m. until the service time at 1:00 p.m. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
His family requests in Charlie’s honor that memorials be sent to: 180 Degrees Ministries, 217 Hawthorn Dr., Atoka, TN 38004. He was a huge supporter of 180 Degrees Ministries where he attended weekly.
