Charles Neal Smith, 85, died Sunday, July 19, 2009 at King’s Daughter’s & Son’s Nursing Home in Bartlett.He was a proud WWII Army veteran who received the Good Conduct Medal, American Campaign Medal, and the WWII Victory Medal. Mr. Smith was a Mason, and former treasurer for the Society of Southern Die Casting Engineers.Mr. Smith was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Angela K. Smith. He is survived by his three daughters, Karen Randall (Bill) of Olive Branch, MS; Janis Webb (Don) of Bartlett; and Susan Phillips (Larry) of Bartlett; one grandson, Wade N. Phillips; and two sisters, Rose Marie Priola and Wanda Jones, both of Memphis.Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, July 22, 2009 at 11:30 a.m. at Memorial Park Funeral Home in the Fireside Chapel. A visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. Interment will be at Memorial Park Cemetery.The family requests that memorials be sent to King’s Daughters and Sons Home 3568 Appling Road Bartlett, Tennessee.
