Charles McNemar's Obituary
Charles W McNemar, 89, of Southaven, MS, passed away on Saturday, March 19, 2016. He is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Eva Turner McNemar and precious pup, Lucy. He is also survived by four sisters: Billie McNemar Parker, of Como, MS, Betty Margaret (Toosie) McNemar McGregor, of Florence, AL, Glenda McNemar Richardson of Batesville, MS, and Bonita McNemar Gibson, of Huntsville, AL. along with many nieces and nephews. He was preceded by his parents, Curtis and Elva McNemar, of Pleasant Grove, MS, brother, Sanford (Doc) McNemar of Pleasant Grove, MS and sister, Monta McNemar Wren, of Sledge, MS. Mr. McNemar grew up in Panola County, MS. After moving to Southaven, MS, Mr. McNemar owned and operated Southaven Boarding for many years. He was a member of Desoto county planning commission as well as a long time deacon at Carriage Hills Baptist Church. He was a WII veteran in the US Army Air Force with the 426th Army Airforce base unit as a corporal. The visitation will be held at Carriage Hills Baptist Church in Southaven from 11:00-1:00 with the service to follow immediately. The family would like to give a huge thanks to the staff of Compasses Hospice. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Desoto County Humane Society.
