Dr. Housholder was an amazing pediatric physician. He took care of me and my siblings from birth to adulthood. We always knew we were in good hands with him. I think of him often when I taken my kids to the Dr. He was a great man and a great medical doctor.
I do believe I can vaguely remember Dr. Householder making a home visit when I was a sick little girl. ❤️
Dr. Householder help to save my life when I was born with hemolytic disease. He and dr. Eugene gadberry saved me. Dr. Householder was my doctor until I turned 18! He was always so sweet and could make me laugh even if I had terrible tonsillitis and felt so sick. When he would check my tummy ,he would make that funny noise with his lips, like a squeaking noise, LOL. He never called my mother by her name, his nickname for her was “little mama” as she was only 4 foot 10. I’m in my 50s now, and have grandchildren. However it seems like yesterday that my mama and I were waiting in that office to see dr. Householder. Thank you doctor for being there to help save my life and for taking care of me for so many years. I know you are resting peacefully in heaven with our Lord. ??????
I grew up as Michelle Todd and saw Dr. Housholder all of my childhood years. He was endlessly gentle and always kind. He had a wry sense of humor with me where he would tell a joke and I wouldn’t get it but he would laugh anyway. He delivered me and on the day I was born he asked my dad what my name was and when he told him he responded with, “Oh Shelly!” My dad snapped back at him, “Her NAME is Michelle!” Lol they love telling me that story. Of course, this didn’t phase the doctor at all and every single time I came to see him growing up he’d walk in the room with a big smile and say, “Hello, Shelly!”When I was a teen I became very sick and he took my mom out into the hallway so that I wouldn’t see him cry as he told her their Shelly had to be admitted into the hospital. Since I was late in my teens that was one of the last times I saw him.I’ve thought of him often over the years and cherished my lifelong doctor relationship with him. I’ll never have a doctor like him ever again and I feel extremely lucky to have known him.All my love, Michelle Bradshaw
My mother was Clara Bradley and went to school with Louise and Jean Thornton. They remained close friends for years. I was a baby sitter for you three children over on Sequoia for years. I was Ann Sigman then and loved you three children. My children grew up with Dr Housholder as their pediatrician for many years. Our family loved your Mom and Dad. I am sure their reunion was wonderful in heaven. My thoughts and prayers are with the family.
Dr Householder, Dr Miller and Drs Ed and Judy Perry cared for my children, now ages 38 and 34. I began working with Dr Ed Perry in the late 80’s and began to get to know Dr Householder a little better. He was always in a cheerful mood and was a delight to be around. I also loved his nurse Pera. I will never forget the sweet man that was Dr Householder. My sympathies are with his family, I know you will miss him, but rejoice he is with his Heavenly Father.
Dr. Householder was my doctor until I left for college. He was my husband’s doctor as well, and spent many a weekend coming to the office to treat him for whatever accident he had had. When we had children, Dr. Householder was our first choice of a doctor for our children and it was a sad day for us when he said he was retiring. Such a great doctor and sweet man.
Dr. Housholder was a wonderful doctor and our family’s pediatrician (there were 5 of us Davidson kids). He was so kind and gentle and I’ll always remember him as a lovely man. Thank you for loaning him out to all us kids!
What a great man! Dr Housholder was “my doctor” growing up and continues to be my role model as a practicing pediatrician. Not a week goes by when I don’t mention him to one of my patients. Thank you Dr Housholder. You will never be forgotten
