Charles Richard Herron's Obituary
Charles Richard (Rick) Herron, 62, of Eads, TN, passed away on November 4, 2020. Born on August 3, 1958 in Birmingham, Alabama to Robert and Shirley Herron, he is survived by his wife of 30 years, Anne Jeffries Herron, and fur-babies Zeus, Charley, and Oscar.
Rick was the owner of Herron Automotive Equipment Group, LLC for 20 years, and cherished the car business and his valued customers. He was a proud distributor for Hunter Engineering, Rotary Lifts, and Graco, among others. He could “outfit an entire dealership” with their automotive servicing equipment and loved every minute of it.
Having a passion for football, his fall weekends revolved around the Alabama Crimson Tide’s games. He was teased about having a direct line to Nick Saban, so he could offer tips on winning strategies. Rick was also Dale Earnhardt’s biggest fan and loved to go to the races or watch them on tv. Needless to say, his man cave is decorated in Roll Tide and 3’s.
Rick will be sadly missed by all of those who loved him. He had a big heart and truly cared about the people in his life. He made friends easily and had many long-lasting relationships. He never met a stranger. His family thanks you for all your thoughts, prayers, and kind words. He fought a tough health battle until the end.
A funeral mass will be held Saturday, November 21 at 12 o’clock at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 8151 Chimneyrock Road, Cordova, TN, 38016. Entombment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.
