Charles Sage Fee's Obituary
Charles Sage Fee (Charlie) was born on October 7, 1934 and went home to be with the Lord on May 10,
2022.
Charlie was born in Brighton, Tennessee. After graduating from Brighton High School, where he was a baseball standout, Charlie farmed in Tipton County for a few years. He married Wanda Beaver Fee in 1958. He began his career at DuPont in 1959 where he was employed for 35 years. After retiring from DuPont, Charlie went on to work for Jimmy Whittington Lumber Company for 20 years. “Working” was Charlie’s main hobby and his work ethic unparalleled. He also enjoyed gardening and beach trips with his family. Charlie was a man of faith and a Deacon and Elder at Independent Presbyterian Church.
Charlie was pre-deceased by his parents, Samuel Stanhope Fee and Sarah Sage Fee; brothers Sam Fee,
James Fee and Bill Fee; his sister, Roberta Gray and his son, Charles (Chip) Sage Fee, Jr.
He is survived by his adoring wife of nearly 64 years, Wanda; his daughter, Laurie Schirm and son in law,
Steve; his daughter, Charla Miller and granddaughter Sophie Miller. The family would like to give special
thanks to Charlie’s caregivers, Felecia Swift and Mary Miller.
Visitation will be held at Independent Presbyterian Church, 4738 Walnut Grove Rd., Memphis 38117 on
Monday, May 16 at 4:00PM with a Memorial Service to follow at 5:00PM.
