Charles Crain's Obituary
Charles R. Crain, 81, of Memphis, devoted father and friend, passed away on Saturday, October 16, 2010. He served as a deacon at Leawood East Baptist Church and as a past deacon at Leawood Baptist Church. Mr. Crain was a veteran of the Korean War serving with the TN Army National Guard. He was retired Vice President and General Manager of House of Ceramics in Memphis and also a retired owner of Mid South Automatic Door. Mr. Crain was preceded in death by his wife Patricia Crain. He is survived by his daughter, Cathi and her husband Mark Overbey of Suwanee, GA; two sons, Charles “Rip” Crain and his wife Sylvia of Germantown, TN; and Steven Crain and his wife Kathie of Lakeland, TN; seven grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. The visitation will be held 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 20, at Memorial Park Funeral Home. The funeral will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, October 21, at Leawood East Baptist Church, 1620 North Houston Levee Rd. Cordova TN. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Leawood East Baptist Church-Building Fund.
