We fondly celebrate the life of Mr Chuck Miller because of his many acts of kindness. These are a few things that come to mind.
When we moved into the cove, he was the first to come introduce himself and welcome us.
In talking, he learned that we were educators and I was a coach in need of some boards to use in soccer training. Before I knew anything, here he comes across the street with newly cut boards in tow.
There was an incident where our rottweiler got out of the back yard and we weren’t home. He got him in and kept him safe until we arrived. Later, he said that he knew he was not in danger.
I remember when he bought his Buick. He said his wife was tired of riding in the small car so he had to step his game up. We laughed.
More recently, when inclement weather was forecasted, he would call to say he was going to his daughter’s house and would return when the ground was clear.
We called him, Mr Miller and he would reply call me Chuck. He exemplified the best of what our world has to offer. We will miss our friend, Mr Chuck Miller.
