Charbea Lawyetta Weston's Obituary
2 Timothy 4:7-8 (NIV) 7 I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. 8 Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day—and not only to me, but also to all who have longed for his appearing.
Charbea Lawyetta Houston Weston, 55, of Cordova, TN surrendered the call of Jesus on Sunday, April 26, 2020. Charbea, a former USPS employee and graduate of Overton High School, was a doting wife to John L. Weston and superior mother to Devin Terry, Charde Terry, and Brandon Weston. Charbea spent her life loving and caring for her husband, her children and her family. She embodied the spirit of Ruth in her calming and gentle presence that lightened every room she entered. Her expression of love could be found in her love of reading, cooking, and traveling. During her extended illness, Charbea never lost her ability to smile and place others before herself.
Resting safely in the arms of God she leaves her earthly King, John L. Weston, two sons, Devin Terry and Brandon Weston, one daughter, Charde Terry. Her mothers, Ms. Barbara Houston and God-Mother Mrs. Shirley Wade; her father Charles Houston; her two twin sisters, Nataska Partee and Alexis Partee, and Tameka Ford Houston. Her brothers, Kevin Boddie, and Jarvis (Shunya) James. One dear nephew, Chad Partee and two precious nieces, Ameythst Partee and Alexicia Partee. One very dear aunt, Joyce Franklin and two great-aunts, Ludia Jackson and Ellen Anderson, both of Chicago, IL. She also leaves many nieces, nephews, cousins, and special friends that will miss her dearly. One sister who preceeded her in death, Lisa Lane.
In lieu of flowers, her husband asks that you donate to the St. Jude Children’s Hospital, an endowment has been established in her name, Charbea Houston Weston by copying this link to your browser.
