Celinia Ydrovo's Obituary
Celinia Florez de Ydrovo, 90, of Cordova, TN., passed away on April 15, 2026, surrounded by her children after living a full life being God’s faithful servant, devoted and ever-loving wife, exceptional mother, grand and great grandmother, or “Guita”, true friend and adviser, garden lover, and gifted artist.
She was preceded in death by her daughter Fabiola; husband Eduardo, parents German and Rosana, brothers Alberto, German, and Antonio, and grandchild Miguel Eduardo.
She is survived by her children: Colombia, Diana, Martha y Jorge, Eduardo, Martha Lucia, Myrian and John, Albalucia and Miguel, German and Alejandra.
By her grandchildren, Maria Fabiola, Edward, Vanessa, Viviana, Kevin, Ricky, Bobby, and Angie and their spouses; her great-grandchildren, Elijah, Emmanuel, Noah, Raphael, Dean and Carter. And her brother, Luis, in Brazil.
As God’s faithful servant, she lived her life as a devoted catholic, trying her best to lead by example not only in her family life, but also in the community with very often acts of charity, love, and service. She had a deep devotion for the Holy Eucharist and enjoyed spending time in adoration, where she found the strength to lead her family of seven children after losing her husband, the love of her life, forty years ago.
She was a gifted artist who enjoyed sharing her talents with everyone who wanted to learn and with her friends, and used those opportunities to give advice and guidance. She also loved gardening and saw in every flower the magnificence of God’s creation, and after a day of being under the sun, she gave herself time to relax, reading a good book.
Her kindness, generosity, and forward nature touched many lives. She will be missed, and the void of her physical absence will be easier to bear knowing that she was ready to meet her Lord and Savior.
The family will receive friends from 3:00 PM until the funeral mass at 4:00 PM at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to her favorite charity https://Smiletrain.org
Arrangements have been entrusted to Memorial Park Funeral Home and Cemetery, 5668 Poplar Avenue, Memphis, Tennessee 38119 (901) 767-8930.
“Where Memphis comes to remember, since 1924.”
