Catherine Morgan's Obituary
CATHERINE GENOVESE BURCHERT MORGAN, 88, died July 17, 2011 at St. Francis Hospital-Park Ave. Mrs. Morgan was a native of New Orleans, graduate of Eleanor McMain High School, extra ordinary athlete excelling in softball and tennis. She was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, and devout Catholic attending St. Francis of Assisi in Cordova, TN. The family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m., Tuesday, July 19, with a Rosary Service at 6 p.m. at Memorial Park Funeral Home. A funeral mass will be held Wednesday, July 20 at 10 a.m. at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church. Mrs. Morgan was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert Louis Morgan, Sr. and one granddaughter, Heather Genovese Roberts Morgan. She leaves two daughters, Cynthia Ann Morgan and Mary Catherine Oyler (Richard), both of Germantown; two sons, William Arthur Morgan of New Orleans, LA and Herbert Louis Morgan, Jr. of Urbana, IL; two brothers, Cyril Arthur Buchert of Covington, LA and George Buchert of Metairie, LA; three grand-children, Jennifer Tricia Guglietti (Vincent) of Memphis, Richard Austin Oyler (Laura) of Winston Salem, NC and Nicholas Morgan Oyler; great-granddaughter, Heather Titania Guglietti.
