Carolyn Janice Wilson's Obituary
Carolyn Janice Wilson passed away quietly on March 2, 2026 after 90 years of loving her family followed by a short illness.
Born in Memphis, she was the oldest of three daughters of Russell and Juanita Blake. Carolyn was known for her beauty, endless smiles and a kind heart and came to know the Lord at their family church, Highland Heights Presbyterian. She attended Bob Jones University and worked for Western Union in downtown Memphis for many years.
Her entire life was devoted to raising her three sons, Bobby, Ray and Leslie, and delighted in watching them grow into men and start their own lives and families.
Her main career, hobby, passion and hope were raising her three sons.
Carolyn leaves behind her two sisters, Juanell Parker and Jeanene Huges, five grandchildren…and most importantly to her - her sons.
Visitation for Ms. Wilson will take place Sunday, March 8, 2026, from 1:00 PM-2:00 PM in the Fireside Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home. The funeral will be held following visitation beginning at 2:00 PM. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.
