Carolyn Simmons' Obituary
Virginia Carolyn Simmons, 90, passed away from this life on March 10, 2014. She was born on May 25, 1923 in Jackson, TN. Carolyn was the only child of Thomas Whitten Simmons and Margaret DeLoach Simmons. When Carolyn was 5, her father passed away and she and her mother moved to Memphis to live with her Aunt. Carolyn was a long-time employee and Secretary Treasurer of Memphis Consumer Credit Association and Memphis Home Furnishings Associations. Miss Simmons was a member of Lindenwood Christian Church. Her Loyal friends, neighbors and co-workers were her family and received her devoted attention. The funeral service will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, March 15, 2014 at Memorial Park Funeral Home. The visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorial may be sent to Lindenwood Christian Church, the Church Health Center or the charity of the donor’s choice.
