Carolyn Hemphill Owen's Obituary
Carolyn Hemphill Owen, 85, born to W.F. and Jeanett Hemphill in Greenwood, Ms. on December 24, 1938, was welcomed by the Lord in heaven on August 10, 2024.
She was preceded in death by her husband Bobby Dale Owen Sr.; Carolyn graduated from Treadwell High School and resided in Memphis, TN. most of her life. She was a dedicated employee and retired from Germantown Baptist Church. After her retirement she moved to Trussville, Al. where she lived for 18 years, and later resided in Gilbert, Az for three years.
Carolyn is survived by her daughter, Candace Owen Dratnol (David), of Gilbert, AZ. and Bobby Dale Owen, Jr. (Laura) of Trussville, AL; She is survived by six grandchildren, Danielle York (Josh), Samantha Hutchinson, (Nate), and Drew Owen (Kasey), Kaycee Dratnol, Shelby Long, (Wayne), and Anna Grace Owen; and great grandchildren, David, Carson, Madison, Leila, Lucy, Landon, Grayson, Jenson, Owen and Savannah.
The family will receive guests on Tuesday, August 27, 2024, from 10:00-11:00 am, at Memorial Park Funeral Home & Cemetery 5668 Poplar Ave. Memphis, TN 38119 with a celebration of life service to follow at 11:00 a.m.
