Carolyn Ann Holland's Obituary
Carolyn Ann Holland, 77, born September 28, 1946, in San Angelo, Texas passed away in her home in Atoka, TN on April 10, 2024. She was surrounded by her loving family.
Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents, Benjamin and Helen Rexford, her sister Rebecca Shirley and her beloved grandson, Chance.
She is survived by her sister Mona Rexford (James). She is also survived by two daughters, Helen Holland Woods (Alton), and Ann Downen; two sons Michael Holland Sr., and Lynn Holland (Michelle). She was Memaw to 10 grandchildren: Michael Jr (Jessie), Amber, Chance, Amy, Emily (William), Christoper (Jessica), Dustin, Devin (Felicia), Dalton (Madisyn), and Brooklin (Dalton); and 8 great-grandchildren; Jennifer, Aubree, Layla, Cason, Eric, Camile, Anthony, and Rosalie.
Carolyn graduated from Treadwell High School and the University of Memphis with a BA degree in Business Administration. She worked for the University of Tennessee for 25 years as Head Administrator and assistant to the Chairman of Bio-Physics and Physiology. She enjoyed beach trips, cruises, reading, and spending time with her family and Pup Pups. She especially enjoyed time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her love for her family had no limits.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, April 17, 2024, from 5:00PM to 8:00PM at Memorial Park Funeral Home, 5668 Poplar Avenue, Memphis, TN 38119. Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 18, 2024, at 2:00 PM at Memorial Park Funeral Home.
