Carolyn B. Dorr's Obituary
Carolyn Buffaloe Dorr, 83, of Memphis, died February 7, 2017. She was born August 7, 1933 in Memphis, TN to Earl and Margaret Buffaloe. Carolyn attended the University of Alabama and earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Mississippi. She was a member of Pi Beta Phi. Later, she earned two Master degrees from Austin Peay State University and her Doctorate from Vanderbilt University. Carolyn was a member of St. John’s Episcopal Church in Memphis. She enjoyed watching her Alabama football team; traveling to New Orleans; antiquing and playing bridge with her friends. Carolyn is survived by her children, Margaret Dorr Henderson (Michael Paul) and William Meriwether Dorr, III. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 4 at 12:00 pm at St. John’s Episcopal Church, 3245 Central Avenue, Memphis, TN. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to The Humane Society of Memphis. “Celebrating Life….Behind the Stone Wall.”
