Caroline Jennings Conrad, born August 19, 1999, died Tuesday, June 25th, of injuries sustained in an automobile accident while returning to her summer job as a camp counselor at Camp of the Rising Son in French Camp, Mississippi. Read Obituary
We were terribly saddened to learn of the loss of Caroline. She was one remarkable human being. Never having experienced a loss like this, I can’t claim to fully appreciate what you must be going through; but the entire Conrad family are, and will remain, in our prayers.
As one of Caroline’s camp chiefs at Camp of the Rising Son I did not have the privilege to know her except during a few summers. However, I was blessed with her presence as she was a part of my cabin group of girls for a week out of the summer plus she just always seemed to be around within my 4 years of counseling at CRS. I for sure had her two years in my cabin and remember how kind and fun she was. Her infectious personality added a lot of life and spunk to camp and she was always so verbal and brave about her relationship with Jesus! We use to dress up on Auburn day at camp together! I can only imagine how amazing she was at being a counselor herself! I am so grateful to have met her and known her heart. My deepest prayers go out for her sweet family and friends.

My thoughts and prayers are with you in this most difficult time. It is absolutely amazing how much your beautiful Caroline accomplished in such a short time. Because I worked with Anne for so many years I feel I’ve known Caroline all her life (as I do with all of Joe and Anne Reno’s children and grandchildren) although we never actually met. As everyone can tell by the outpouring of love she is receiving, she was a very special young woman. There are no words to express how deeply sorry I am for your loss. Your family will remain in my prayers.
Words cannot begin to express how sorry I am for your loss. What an incredible life Caroline had in her short time here! Not many can contribute so much in their lifetime, and your precious Caroline made a lasting impact on so many. I know you all have an army of love and support to help you through these hard days. I never had the privilege to meet this beautiful soul my two of my sons were blessed to work with her at CRS. She seemed to fit right in with the quality of people that CRS attracts each summer to pour into the lives of young kids. As a parent, I grieve with you for a life with such potential to be seemingly cut short, but I am also reminded that our children are not really ours but rather His, and they are entrusted to us to lead them to Him. Rejoice in the promise of reuniting with Caroline in His presence for eternity.
Craig and Rebecca, We are so very very sorry for your loss. You both are such special friends to us and we are holding you along with Hannah and Grace close in our hearts. Although we did not know Caroline very well, we know your family and the love you share and know her vivacious spirit will be terribly missed. My heart goes out to the friends and family of Caroline Conrad. She always knew how to put a smile on your face no matter how bad of a day you were having. She was friends with everybody she met and everyone always found her so kind and funny. She was taken away too soon and will be greatly missed.
