Carol Everest Keeney's Obituary
Carol Everest Keeney, 68, passed away suddenly on December 12, 2017, in Germantown, TN. She was born August 25, 1949, in Chicago, IL to Margaret Jane Close and Paul Daley Everest. She is survived by her daughter, Sarah Acuff (Austin); son, Malcolm Lightfoot; sister, Margaret Cummins (Manley); brother, John Everest; grandchildren, Archer and Olivia Acuff and Paul and Ava Lightfoot; nephew, Manley Cummins, IV; and numerous loving cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents. She attended The Montgomery Academy and The University of Alabama. She was a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma. She was very active at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, Cursillo Ministry, and Kairos Ministry. She was a loyal member of PEO, Daphne, AL. The family will receive friends from 2-3 p.m. and a Celebration of Life will follow at 3 p.m., Tuesday, December 19 at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, Daphne, AL. The interment will be held at 10 a.m., Wednesday, December 20 at Greenwood Cemetery, Montgomery, AL. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be sent to the St. Paul’s Building Fund, 28788 N Main St, Daphne, AL 36526.
