Carol M Holley's Obituary
Carol M. Holley went home to be with her Lord and Savior on April 14, 2009 after a long illness.She was born to J.C. and Corrie Mae McCary in Booneville, MS.She graduated from Baldwyn High School and Draughton Business College. She worked at Columbus Air Force Base and The University of Memphis as a secretary. She was a member of Eudora Baptist Church and served faithfully as a Bible School teacher, WMU Treasurer, and Lord’s Supper Committee member. Her other interests included needlework, cats, music, flowers, singing, and performing at the Mid-South Fair where she won numerous awards as a stand up comedian. She was active in the McWherter Senior Citizen Center.She was preceded in death by her husband, K. Jack Holley, her parents, and brothers William and James McCary.She is survived by a daughter Betty Thompson (Ron) of Somerville, TN, a sister Sarah Jane (Tootsie) Morris of Baldwyn, MS, a brother AD (Bud) McCary of Natchez, MS and several nieces and nephews.A graveside service will be held at Memorial Park Cemetery at 12:00pm on Friday, April 17, 2009 with Brother Mark Branson officiating.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Gideons, Memphis Union Mission, Eudora Baptist Church or First Baptist Church, Whiteville, TN.
