Carnese C. Embry's Obituary
Carnese Connell Embry, 88, passed away February 10, 2018. We’ll always remember biscuits and gravy every morning, fried chocolate pies, spaghetti dinners where no one could ever find the bay leaf, driving around town in her red Buick Park Avenue, eating Central Park hamburgers in Audubon Park with her grandchildren. She was a classy lady until the end, born into a poor family in West Tennessee where she had to drop out of school in 6th grade to pick cotton, but self made into a true Southern lady. We will miss her for sure! Mrs. Embry was preceded in death by her husband, Arnett Embry and son, Larry Embry and is survived by her children, Michael Embry, Rosita Tate and Marquita Fricks (Ron); sisters, Eleanor Cook and Josephine Kuykendall; 5 grandchildren; and 4 great grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until her service begins at 11 a.m. Friday, February 16th at Memorial Park Funeral Home and Cemetery.
