Carl Benjamin Ollar,'s Obituary
Carl Benjamin Ollar, Jr., 85, passed away November 27, 2016. He was an Army veteran and served as a reporter for the Stars and Stripes during the Korean Conflict. Carl retired from Sealy Mattress Co. as Vice President of Marketing and served on the Board of Directors. He was preceded in death by his wife of over 60 years, Betty Ann Latimer Ollar and son, Stephen E. Ollar. Carl is survived by his son, Gregory Ollar; daughter, Catherine Ollar Plunkett (James); grandchildren, Christopher Ollar (Irina) and Erin Plunkett; and great grandsons, Samuel and Charlie Ollar and Ben Plunkett. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until his service begins at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, December 3 at Memorial Park Funeral Home and Cemetery. Carl had a kind, sweet spirt and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
