Carl will be missed, he had many friends on Facebook. Carl was born and raised near Brinkley, Arkansas, graduated from Brinkley High School where he became the school photographer and later was the photographer for the local papers in Brinkley. He moved to Memphis in the mid late sixty's....Photography was his passion. I remember Carl always being the photographer for all the sports pictures when I was in high school in the late fifties and early sixties, covered a lot of Weddings, and local events. On Facebook, Carl was like a historian for the group "If you grew up in Brinkley, then you remember" , when we first became friends on Facebook, several years ago, he called me and we had a long conversation about most of the people in Brinkley. Rest in Peace my Friend.

Carl and I graduated together in the Brinkley High School class of 1954. We worked on the school newspaper together for two years, and later we both worked at the Brinkley Argus newspaper. I truly enjoyed my association with Carl. He always had a great smile.
