C. Edward Baker's Obituary
Dr. C. Edward Baker of Martin, TN, passed away July 27, 2015 at Jackson Madison County General Hospital. Dr. Baker was born October 8, 1938 in Memphis TN. He attended South Side High School and was a Scrapper, Memphis State University, The University of TN College of Dentistry. Dr. Baker excelled at his profession, as he was a Fellow in the Academy of General Dentistry Fellow Academy of the Orthodontic Society, Member of the Alabama Academy of General Dentistry, the Tennessee Dental Association Member of The Seventh District Society. Dr. Baker was accepted to the Boston School of Medicine Anesthesiology program. Served in the Tennessee National Guard and was a member of the Board of Directors of the Dukedom Bank. Dr. Baker is preceded in death by , Netti Baker, his beloved grandmother, his mother Christine Spiesman, father James Baker and wife Alarene Baker, and his brother Bobby Baker. A lifelong Christian with a very generous heart. He was especially kind to the elderly and had many loving friends. He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years Pat Lipsey Baker, and sons Jason Edward Baker and wife Kim, Ryan Eric Baker and granddaughter Taylor Baker. Dr. Baker also leaves his sister Norma Hunter and husband John, Corrine Gregory and husband Glenn, Shirley Lindsey, sisters-in-law Donna Baker Mercedes King, Barbara Hallmark and husband Milton, Mary Reasor and husband Ken Margaret Pressley and husband Tommy Carol Wells and husband Robert, Bonnie Lipsey, Barbara Lipsey, Glenda Lipsey, and last but not least Ginger III and Louie his faithful K9 companions. The family will receive friends on Thursday, July 30 from 10:30 a.m. until service time at 11:30 a.m. in the Fireside Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home, 5668 Poplar Ave, Memphis, TN.
