Buford Eugenia (Genie) Barron Sherrill's Obituary
Buford Eugenia (Genie) Barron Sherrill attained glory with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ at 8:52pm, Monday, January 27th, 2025. She was preceded in her death by her parents, Iva Arendale Barron and Buford Euzel Barron, her brother Orman Pierce Barron and his son Gregory Keith Barron, her beloved husband Sidney Lee Sherrill, her son by marriage Sidney Lee Sherrill II, and her granddaughter Oakleigh Elise Roberts.
She is survived by her daughters Donna Sears Bowen (George Scott Bowen) and Vivian Sherrill Roberts (Greig Roberts, deceased) and daughter-in-law, Susan Goldsmith Sherrill.
She will be greatly missed by her 13 grandchildren and their spouses, 40 great grandchildren and their spouses, one great-great granddaughter, her niece Linda Smith (Tony Smith) and their children’s families, and several cousins.
Genie’s church, Fayette Baptist Church, Somerville, Tn. and all who knew her will never be the same. Genie was known to be a very wise, godly and sweet spirited woman who never passed an opportunity to pray for, encourage, share wisdom and the Gospel of Christ to everyone she met.
The family will receive relatives and friends on Tuesday, February 4 at 10:00 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 11:00 a.m. all in the Fireside Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home. Interment to follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.
