Pastor Buck: I don’t have tell any of you what Dr. Buck meant to all of us. If it had not been for Buck, I wouldn’t have become the sax evangelist that I did. By his introductions to his pastor friends and the leadership of God in his life, it launched my ministry.

Dear Alan, Christie, Donna Beth, and Scott. We just received the word of Bro. Buck’s passing from this world to enter into our Perfect Heavenly Father’s World.. It seems I can hear the Great Reception from Jesus, Mrs. (M), as Bro. Buck so lovingly referred to so many times, and many others preceding them. Bro. Morton and all his family touched so may lives in so many ways with their teaching of God’s Holy Word, Love ,Mercy, and Compassion. The Morton’s time on this earth will be remembered by many. We lift you all up in our prayers. As Bro. Morton said many times,”In The Wing Life”. May God Bless You All.
Alan, Christie, Donna Beth, Scott, and all the rest of the Wonderful Morton family. We just received the word of your Father’s leaving this world to enter our Heavenly Father’s Forever Home. We cannot tell you how very blessed we have been to have been included in your family for many years. You all have touched so many lives in so many different ways. We can rest assured that Bro. Morton and Mrs. (M) as he so lovingly referred to her are now at Perfect Peace with Jesus. This just makes us all feel just closer to the time when Jesus calls us home. My condolences. I have known Dr. Buck for over 50 years. Worked with him over the years with our shared love of Southern Gospel Music. A great, great, worker for the Kingdom of God!

You all were so fortunate to have such a great man as your father. Thank you for sharing him with so many as a counselor and Pastor. We could almost hear from here when God greeted your dad saying, ‘Well done, my good and faithful son’!

Christy, Donna, Allan and Scott. I’m so sorry to hear of the passing of Dr. Morton. I cherish the many years we spent together at West Paris Baptist Church in Paris, Tn. I have thought of him and the entire family often over the years. Although I only saw him a few times after the family left West Paris, the fun we had and the many years of serving the LORD both in music and word will always be foremost in my mind. I thank GOD for the privilege of knowing and Working with him and for getting to know the family. My prayers go out for you.

Remembering Buck Morton – A man of faith and perseverance has gloriously arrived from his pilgrimage here, into the applause of Heaven. On November 25th, Jesus arose from His throne at the right hand of the Father to welcome Buck into Heaven with the cherished words, “Well done thy good and faithful servant”.
As we had the pleasure of having lunch together, we were uplifted by Buck’s love of Christ, the Holy Land, and his prayer circle. What we observed was what so many had already experienced; a man wholly devoted to Jesus, exhibiting the character of our Heavenly Father: love, forgiveness, faithfulness, and grace. Buck could love everyone because the Father is love and he knew this love; forgiveness, because he was forgiven; faithfulness, because the Father is faithful; and grace to all, because he had experienced the Father’s unmerited acceptance in his own life. Although we were not able to spend a lot of time with Dr. Morton, we are so grateful for the influence he had in our daughter in-law, Sarah’s life.
So sorry to hear of Dr. Buck’s passing. We didn’t see him very often, especially in the latter years, but he was always so glad to see us when our paths did cross. He was very encouraging and supportive of my singing ministry and I will always be grateful to him for that. We always enjoyed hearing him sing as well. Love and prayers for the family.
