Brian Christopher Sturman's Obituary
BRIAN CHRISTOPHER STURMAN, 46, died tragically in an automobile accident September 16, 2014. He was born to Patricia and Stephen Sturman August 10, 1968 in Kansas City, Missouri where he lived until 1982 when he moved to Memphis, Tennessee with his mother and step father, Earl C. Buckles. He graduated from Christian Brothers High School and attended the University of Mississippi. In 1994 he married the former Kelley LaVigne and together they had three children: Hannah Marie, Haleigh Grace, and John Hunter. Brian loved his children deeply. He was also a devoted son to his mother and a good friend to those who knew him. He was kind and generous, and his warm smile and sense of humor will be missed. He was predeceased by his maternal grandmother and grandfather, his paternal grandfather, and his step father. He leaves to cherish his memory his mother, his father, his wife and children, and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. His funeral will be held Friday, September 19 at 1 p.m. at Memorial Park Funeral Home. Visitation will be Thursday, 5-7 p.m. also at Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or the charity of your choice.Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Memorial Park Funeral Home and Cemetery, 5668 Poplar Ave. Memphis, TN 38119, “Behind the Stone Wall.”
