Brendt Coker's Obituary
Brendt DeWitt Coker, 36, of Memphis, TN, the son of William T. and Patricia Coker of Little Rock, AR was killed in an auto accident near Batesville, MS on November 19 while traveling on business.Brendt was an extremely accomplished sales executive with EMC, but more importantly a totally giving and loving husband, father, son, and true friend to all who knew him. Brendt was active in Christ United Methodist Church as a Sunday School Teacher and generous contributor in all ways. At a young age, while living in Nashville, he became very involved in Young Life ministries. His commitment to family, friends, and the Lord was sincere and of incredible depth. He was a graduate of The University of Mississippi, where he was a member Phi Delta Theta. Brendt was an avid tennis player and loved all sports.He is survived by Paige Roberson Coker, his wife of 10 years; son, Bennett, 5; and daughter, Kathryn, 3; his mother and father; sister, Shawn Smith of Ithaca, NY.Visitation is Saturday, November 21, from 5-8 p.m. in the Riverside Chapel at Memorial Park Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, November 22, at Christ United Methodist Church. Memorials should be sent to the Brent Coker Children’s Trust, at 5284 S. Angela, Memphis, TN 38120.
