Brendon Gay's Obituary
Brendon Tyler Gay, age 4, earned his angel wings on May 1, 2014. He has left a huge impression on all who have met him or has even heard his story. He came into this world on July 24, 2009 full of zest for life, a sense of humor that would have us all rolling on the floor, as a vessel of happiness and an old soul filled with understanding. Brendon spent the first 510 days of his life at Le Bonhuer Childrens Hospital where he wowed the Drs, nurses and staff continually with his “no stinky attitude” towards his affliction and showed everyone what courage really is. Brendon had a love of music, Blake Shelton in particular, and had fantastic rhythm for a youngster. His “concerts” will be missed greatly. In his short time with us here, he touched the lives of people across this world and will be greatly loved by his family and friends. He is survived by his parents, Katlynn Pressgrove and Charles Gay, Jr.; sister, Rebecca Grace Pressgrove; brother, Cody Ryan Gay; grandparents, Capucine and Charles Gay, Sr., Tanya Pressgrove, and Dwight Pressgrove; great-grandparents, Ann Ruble, Gwendolyn and Charles C. Gay, Jr., Doris Mann, and Therrell and Marcell Pressgrove; aunts, Kara Baker, Lauren Gay, and Janelle DeGuzman; and uncle, Kirk Baker. Visitation will be 5:30-7:30 p.m., Sunday and 2-3 p.m. followed by funeral services at 3 p.m., Monday, May 5 at Memorial Park Funeral Home and Cemetery. Any donations should be sent to the Brendon Gay Memorial Fund at Bank of America.Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Memorial Park Funeral Home and Cemetery, 5668 Poplar Ave. Memphis, TN 38119, (901)767-8930, “Behind the Stone Wall”
