Brendon C. Berryhill's Obituary
It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Brendon Curtis Berryhill on Saturday, July 6th, 2024, at 17 years old.
Brendon was born in Memphis, TN. on April 13th, 2007, to Stephanie Ragland Reed and Joshua Berryhill.
As a young kid Brendon had many interests and was always ready to try something new. He was a spirited and vibrant boy with an amazing sense of humor. Brendon loved playing baseball, basketball, video games, watching movies, riding his bike, hover board, rip stick, and drawing. He enjoyed exploring the outdoors and loved to go fishing and hunting.
Brendon loved his whole family. He went fishing and hunting with his grandparents, and they loved having him around so much that they even took Brendon on vacations with them. He also loved spending time and joking around with his Pop Pop. He thought his cousin Chloe was the sweetest kid, his Aunt Regina was so cool, and he thought the world of his Uncle Steve. Above all, Brendon admired and aspired to be like his father, Joshua. He enjoyed riding around town with his dad and helping him at work. Brendon wanted to be just like his dad.
As a young man, Brendon loved swimming, hunting and fishing with his dad, and walking his bulldog, 2-pint, in downtown Memphis while watching the sun set over the river. He liked cruising around with the windows down and the stereo blasting music by Pooh Shiesty, Big30, Hitman, and Finesse2tymes. One of his favorite routines was taking his sister Lily to Sonic three times a week, their special tradition. His favorite foods were chicken nuggets, tacos, homemade pizza, and anything made on the grill.
Known for his positivity and generosity, Brendon lifted the spirits of everyone around him. If everybody around him wasn’t winning, nobody was, and he would step in to make things better. He had a smile on his face no matter what. His dad and stepmom describe Brendon as the strongest person they have ever met in every way possible.
He is survived by his mom, Stephanie Ragland Reed (Jeremy) of Memphis TN; father Joshua Berryhill of Memphis, TN; stepmom Krystal Dawn Back of Searcy, AR; grandparents Teresa and Keith Faulkner of Senatobia, MS; grandfather Jeff “Pop pop” Berryhill of Tulsa, OK; grandmother Barbie “Mee-maw” Smith (Eugene) of Dallas, TX; grandfather Steve Ragland III of Memphis, TN; sister Kenzie Marie Berryhill (18mo.), step sisters Lily-Ann Elizabeth Back (16), Jayden Lynn Back (6), Madison Grace Back (7mo); aunts Susan Ragland of Memphis, TN, and Regina Page (Michael) of Eads, TN; uncle Steve Ragland IV (Nereida) of Dallas, TX; cousins Chloe and Christian Page; Torrance, Prescott, and Laurel Burns; Xavier Cardoza, Steve, and Ava Ragland.
