Brenda Walton Owens' Obituary
Brenda Walton Owens, born on June 29, 1960, in Memphis Tennessee entered into the presence of our Lord and Savior on February 4, 2026, at the age of 65. Daughter of Robert Harris Walton and Bonnie Mae Gadd Walton. She spent her life in Collierville, Tennessee, where she was cherished by family and friends alike.
Her Faith, Family, and Friends: She was devoted to her family and faith. Brenda was admired for her kindness, laughter, love, charm for her family and was deeply devoted to her mother and father during the final years of their lives. Brenda was a member of Crossroads Baptist Church. She loved operas, art, and St. Jude charity events. Brenda found peace in the country life and spending time with her family.
On April 11, 1981, she married Danny Owens with whom she shared a loving partnership with. Their relationship was founded on love, Christian values, and the upbringing of three wonderful sons.
Brenda graduated from Frasier Baptist High School in 1977, and she later studied at University of Memphis and later at Christian Brothers University College. Brenda enjoyed a successful career at FedEx until her retirement after 34 years of service. Brenda and Danny always opened their door to anyone in need of a place to live, they live by example to have their love shown to others in need.
Brenda is survived by the husband Danny Owens; her children Matthew Owens (Amy) of Olive Branch, MS, Nathan Owens (Allison) of Bolivar, TN, and Zachary Owens of Knoxville, TN; grandson Kaden Owens; siblings Tim Walton (Susan) and Genie Dorman (Phil).
She is joyfully reunited in Heaven with no more pain and has peace with her mom Bonnie Mae, her father Robert Walton, and her siblings, Mary Walton and Bob Walton.
The family will receive friends from 11:30 a.m. until her service begins at 1 p.m. Tuesday, February 10th at Crossroads Baptist Church, 125 Houston Levee Road. Burial will immediately follow at Memphis Memory Gardens on Raleigh Lagrange Road.
