Brenda Diane Frayser Bishop's Obituary
Brenda Diane Frayser Bishop of Olive Branch, MS, age 73, passed away on Wednesday, January 25, 2023, at home with her family. She was born in Memphis, TN, one of 4 children to Doxie Sr. and Mary Ann (Zorzoli) Frayser.
Brenda graduated from Bishop Byrne High School in Memphis, TN. She married David Bishop Sr. in 1969. They had three children, Kimberly (Corey and Jeff Bell) McGlothan, David “Chip” (Samantha) Bishop Jr., and Lori Bishop. She was fondly known as Neenaw to 9 grandchildren, Carolyn, Matthew, and Marianna Bell, Colin, Kieran, and Caleb McGlothan, David Bishop III, Myles Bishop, and Maria Rose Bishop.
She had a storied career in many different fields, including working as an interior designer, a realtor, and most recently, she was a bookkeeper at Allstar Chevrolet, where she maintained order with a wooden spoon. She was also known by those close to her as an artist, a writer, and the very best cook—most famously known for her homemade ravioli and gravy. To her beloved grandchildren, she was known as the Sweet Potato Casserole Queen. She was an avid entertainer, and she was happiest when she was devoting herself to helping those she loved and making them laugh. She had many beloved fur babies in her life, the most recent being a Pomeranian named Elizabeth Taylor.
She was preceded in heaven by David Bishop Sr. in 2003, her parents, her brother Michael (survived by wife Ann) Frayser, and her sister Vickie (survived by husband Bill) Carreras. She is survived by her brother Doxie Jr. (Barbara) Frayser, her children, her favorite (and only) ex-son-in-law Jeff, her grandchildren, and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
