Brandon Glenn Meeks' Obituary
Brandon Meeks, 32, passed from this life to the next unexpectedly on Friday, February 21, 2020. A native Memphian he was born August 13, 1987.
Brandon grew up playing competitive baseball for several years in the Memphis community. He loved going to the beach and being in the outdoors. He graduated from Germantown High School in 2006 and went on to further his education at the University of Memphis where he obtained his bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. An extremely hard worker, he loved playing guitar and listening to music after many long shifts at work.
An avid golfer, reader and traveler, Brandon had recently fallen in love with the state of Colorado, where he had planned to move one day; he had a great passion for man’s best friend and had several dogs during his life. His kind and gentle demeanor made it easy for many to love him wherever he went.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, George and Lounelle Latham and paternal grandparents Sammy and Martha Meeks.
He is survived by his parents, Linda and Sammy Meeks; brother, Blake Meeks and sister-in-law, Alex Meeks
The family will receive friends on Saturday, February 29, 2020 at 10 a.m.; with a memorial service held at 11 a.m.; all at Hope Presbyterian Church, 8500 Walnut Grove Road, Cordova, Tennessee 38018. In lieu of flowers gifts in memory or Brandon may be offered to Hope Church Urban Ministries or to the Alzheimer’s Association.
