Boris Dubios' Obituary
James “Jim” Canale, 63, of Germantown, retired Senior Vice-President of Blue Cross Blue Shield of Tennessee, died May 19, 2010. He will be met by his Border Collie “Bailey”, who passed on Wednesday as well. The family will receive friends from 12 p.m. until service time at 1 p.m., Monday, May 24 at Memorial Park Funeral Home, in the Riverside Chapel. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Mr. Canale was an avid golfer, member of Wyndyke Country Club, an avid Memphis Tigers fan, and an active 21 year member of Lindenwood Christian Church. Mr. Canale was preceded in death by his father, Joseph A. Canale. He leaves his wife of 26 years, Sally H. Canale; three daughters, Denise Canale O’Guin (Andy) of Memphis, Becky Canale of Grand Rapids, MI, and Carin Canale-Theakston (Hillary) of San Diego, CA; one son, Drew Canale of Germantown, TN; mother, Mary C. Canale of Memphis,TN; three sisters, Joan Szuberla, Ann Canale, and Jane Canale; one brother, Andy Canale; three grandchildren, Elizabeth and Anna O’Guin, and Piper Theakston. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Lindenwood Christian Church, Christian Brothers High School, or Paige Robbins Adult Day Care Center.
