Bonnie O. Shropshire's Obituary
Bonnie Oletta Shropshire, 77, of Lakeland TN joined her husband in heaven on August 10, 2018. She was born to the late Mack and Edith Parham on December 1, 1940 at home in Fulton, TN. She married the late Robert “Bob” Shropshire in 1978 on the Stonebridge Golf Course. She loved traveling, coaching the girls softball team at Gaisman Park in the 70’s, playing bunco, sewing, and volunteering at Immanuel Lutheran Church. She was an amazing care provider that blessed many lives. Bonnie had a heart full of grace and a soul full of laughter. She was proceeded in death by her sister Margaret Kirby and brother Mack Parham, Jr. Bonnie is survived by three brothers and three sisters: Doris Braden, Stanley (Pat) Parham, Shirley (Gerald) Peterson, Ernest (Cheri) Parham, Patricia (Harvey) Winchester, Terry (Charlotte) Parham. She leaves behind four children: Phyllis (Charles) Smith, Ricky (Mary) Lovelace, Robbie Lovelace, and Lee Shropshire. She will be greatly missed by her six grandchildren: Laura (Brantley) Gaither, Gina (Brian) Lavelle, Chad (Ashley) Smith, Natalie (James) Townsend, Amber Smith, and Hannah Lovelace; and her eight great-grandchildren that she adored. Being surrounded by family and friends was one of Bonnie’s greatest joys in life. A gathering to celebrate her life will be held at Memorial Park located at 5668 Poplar Ave. Visitation Sunday, August 12th from 5-7 and funeral Monday August 13th at 10 am.Arrangements have been entrusted to Memorial Park Funeral Home and Cemetery, 5668 Poplar Ave., Memphis, TN 38119 (901) 767-8930. “Celebrating Life… Behind the Stone Wall”.
