Bobbie Jean Kelley "Mimi"'s Obituary
Bobbie Jean Kelley "Mimi", 87, formerly of Memphis, TN, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on August 28th, 2020. She has been a resident of Nashville for the last 30 years. She is the daughter of the late Albert and Audrey Stevens and sister of the late Christine Swann and brother, of the late Uyless Stevens.
Mrs. Kelley graduated from Messick High in 1951 and was married to her high school sweetheart, Jack Kelley, for 67 years. She was a Sunday School and Training Union teacher at Bellevue Baptist Church. She loved to watch the Titans play football at home or in the stadium. She dearly loved her family and was actively involved in their lives. She was the official care-giver for her mom for seven years. She will be greatly missed by friends and family.
She was a valued employee of South Central Bell for 32 years and in her years before retirement worked in the Engineering Department at Bell South.
She is survived by her husband, Jack Kelley, daughter, Connie (Tim) Regal, sons, Maury (Raqual) Kelley; Michael (Rachel) Kelley. Mimi’s Grandchildren: Deanna (Stephen) Brown, Trey (Julie) Gardenhire, Caroline Kelley, Micah Kelley, Camille Kelley, Mary Manor Kelley, Christopher Kelley, and Kathleen Kelley. Great grandchildren: Ellie Brown and Evan Brown 6 Nieces and 9 Nephews.
The family would like to express its gratitude to the Rutherford Memory Care in Murfreesboro and Avalon Hospice for their kind and loving care for our mom/wife.
A Private Graveside Service will be held on September 7th at the Memorial Park Cemetery in Memphis, TN.
