Bob Tibbs' Obituary
Bobbie “Bob” Dean Tibbs, 84, of Myrtle MS, passed away March 27, 2011. He was born April 19, 1926 in Okema, Oklahoma. On February 26, 1947 he married his love Jean Glover, who survives. He is also survived by his daughter Sandi Jowers, son and daughter-in-law Mike and Terri Tibbs, son and daughter-in-law Rick and Lea Tibbs, daughter and son-in-law Patti and Randy Burks, sister Barbara Sue Tibbs and brother and sister-in-law L.D. (Sonny) and Snooks Tibbs. Nine grandchildren, Shana Beck, Tracie Braden, Bobby Braden, Kevin Tibbs, Jenny Floyd, Terry Tibbs, Bethany Tibbs, Joe Tibbs and Phillip Burks; three great-grandchildren, Paul Manuel, Keegan and Cody Floyd. Mr. Tibbs was preceded in death by his parents Albert and Lula Tibbs, brothers L.C. Tibbs, Connie Victor Tibbs, sisters, Mickey Jenkins, Peggy Beckham, Ione Wilson and grandson Toby Gibson. Mr. Tibbs was an extraordinary man. Loving husband, father and grandfather and will be greatly missed by so many who loved him. Retired from Humko after 30 years. He was a member of Old Oak Grove Baptist Church. A memorial service will be held at Old Oak Grove Baptist Church in Myrtle, MS on Thursday, March 31 at 11 a.m. with private interment following at Memorial Park Cemetery in Memphis.
