Billy Hill's Obituary
Billy Wayne Hill passed away on July 4th, 2012 at the age of 77. He was born in Monroe County, MS on March 8th, 1935. He leaves his wife of 57 years Barbara A. Hill, his son Anthony Wayne Hill, daughter- in-law Kristin Hill and two grandchildren Avery Wayne Hill and Courtni Brooke Hill. He leaves a brother Charles Howard Hill and sister Sarah Reich as well as his seven nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Charlie and Annie Hill and his brother-in-law James Reich. He was a resident of Memphis, TN , Piperton, TN and Franklin, TN. He served in the 557 Engineering Co. in Fort Lewis, Washington 1958-1960 and 1961-1962 with the 844th Engineering Bn. At Fort Rucker, AL. He was an employee of Stanley Home Products for 27 years and at Saia Motor Freight for eight years before retiring. He was active in Collierville United Methodist Church where he duplicated and delivered Sermon tapes to shut-ins and delivered meals on wheels. At Franklin First United Methodist Church he delivered meals on wheels and helped with communion and greeting. His hobbies were gardening, woodwork, and attending his grandchildren’s sports events. He is greatly loved and will truly be missed. Memorial Service will be held at The First United Methodist Church in Franklin, Saturday, July 7, 11 a.m. Funeral Service will be at Memorial Park Funeral Home in Memphis, Sunday, July 8. Visitation from 12:30 to 2:30. Service will be at 2:30.
