"Mr. Colvard" was the one teacher in my 17 years in the Memphis School and University system that I remember the best. He was my home room and history teacher at Scenic Hills Elementary from 1962-4 (7-8 Grade). I think he would have been a little surprised that I came to share his Faith in the Lord Jesus later in life and that I ended up with a son in the Marines (1/5) who was a mortarman and machine gunner in Iraq three times. I look forward very much to visiting Mr. Colvard in heaven one day soon. Mike Pippin

The obituary was beautifully written and so deserving of all the credits.
As a neighbor I always enjoyed the "fruit" of Bill's labor, when he and Sally would share the lovingly grown vegetables and fruit.
