Beverly T. Pence's Obituary
She was the daughter of the late James William Terry and the late Lena Rogers Terry. She is preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Warren Pence Sr., son, Bobby Warren Pence Jr., brothers, Dr. Bill Terry, Larry Terry Sr., and Raymond Terry.
She attended and graduated from Bartlett High School where she was a cheerleader and formed many lifelong friendships. She also attended Memphis State University where she met her future husband Bobby Warren Pence Sr. Beverly worked as a stewardess for Eastern Airlines. After marrying Bobby Pence, they started a family and had two sons Bobby Warren Pence Jr. and Terry Curtis Pence.
After taking a break from work to raise two boys, Beverly went back to work helping Bob run two different businesses. Then in 1992 Beverly and Bob established Hi-Light USA, Inc. a Bearings and Power Transmission company that is thriving today.
Beverly semi-retired to Cotter, AR with husband Bob where she was President of The Cotter Chamber of Commerce. Her favorite pastime was sitting on her deck overlooking the White River and spending time at their farm.
Beverly is survived by her son, Terry C. Pence and wife, Nancy Pence of Lakeland TN., sister, Betty Terry Litton of Mobile, AL, sister-in-law, Betty Pence East and husband Bobby of Cordova, TN, grandson, James Tyler Pence of Bartlett, TN, her daughter-in-law, Lynne O’Malley Pence of Cordova, TN, granddaughter, Alexandra Pence Guererri and husband Will of New Orleans, LA, and grandson, Bobby Warren Pence III (Trey) of Atlanta, GA. She also leaves an abundance of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
The past four years she has been respectfully and lovingly cared for by Amy Christine Cory.
She has been a Godsend for our entire family.
Visitation will begin at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, July 10th, 2024 with funeral beginning at 2:30 p.m. at Memorial Park Funeral Home, 5668 Poplar Avenue, Memphis, TN 38119. Officiating this service will be Reverend Mike Foster from Bellevue Baptist Church. Interment will follow service in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Honoring Mrs. Pence as pallbearers will be Trey Pence, Tyler Pence, Larry Terry Jr., Chaz Mulroy, Tim Mulroy and Clark Knight. Honorary pallbearers will be Bobby East and Terry Layman.
The family asks that memorial contributions be directed to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
