Beverly Kay Fleet's Obituary
Beverly Kay Fleet, 81, of Southaven, Mississippi passed away peacefully at home on April 22, 2024.
Kay was born on October 25, 1942, in Memphis, Tennessee to the late Roy and Loraine Atkinson. She graduated from Memphis Technical High School in 1960. She became the director of La Petite Academy in 1975 and retired in 1988. Kay enjoyed traveling, gardening, reading, and spending time with her family whom she adored. She is survived by her loving husband of 61 years, Robert Fleet of Olive Branch, MS, her daughter; Angela (Greg) Moore of Southaven, MS, brother Roy Atkinson Jr. of Cordova, TN and her two grandchildren; Garrett and Jordan Moore of Southaven, MS. She is preceded in death by her parents; Roy and Loraine Atkinson and son; Robert Gregory Fleet.
The family will receive relatives and friends on Wednesday, May 1 at 12pm with a funeral service to follow at 1pm, each taking place in the Riverside Chapel at Memorial Park Funeral Home. Interment to follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. The family would like to thank the staff at Southern Hospice Care for their compassionate care during Kay’s illness. She will be deeply missed but forever in our hearts. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Research Hospital.
