Beverly Jeanne Edmonds' Obituary
Beverly Jeanne Edmonds, 89, of Germantown TN, passed away on May 11, 2011. She was preceded in death by her husband Dr. James B. Edmonds, Sr. a son, Dr. J. Daniel Edmonds, and three brothers, Don O. Hutchison, Dr. Joe E. Hutchison, and James L. Hutchison. Mrs. Edmonds is survived by her three children, James B. Edmonds, Jr., Dr. W. David Edmonds, and John E. Edmonds, three grandchildren, Ann-Marie Edmonds, W. David Edmonds, Jr., and Jeanette M. Edmonds. She was a resident of Germantown, TN for 61 years and very active in the community. She was a member of Germantown Presbyterian Church since 1951. She served as president of Germantown School P.T.A. and also Riverdale P.T.A., which she helped to form. Mrs. Edmonds was also active in the Shelby County Republican Women, and service as a delegate to several conventions. She and her husband helped to form one of the first Republican lists in the area and served as officer of election at seven different precincts over the years. Mrs. Edmonds was a member of many organizations among them the Heritage Woman’s Club, the Suburban Garden Club, the Memphis Dental Auxiliary, and the Germantown Performing Arts Centre Guild, and her church circle. She generously contributed to the Memphis Children’s Museum and to the Germantown Depot. The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, May 13, at Memorial Park Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 14, also at Memorial Park Funeral Home. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be sent to Memphis Dental Society.
