Bettye Butler Romeo Lucchesi's Obituary
Bettye Butler Romeo Lucchesi, 102, peacefully passed away on June 3rd, 2024. Bettye was born. August 29,1921 in Memphis, TN to Willie and Florence Butler. She lived a full and remarkable life She was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Louis T. "Louie" Lucchesi, her son, Santo Joseph Romeo, grandson, Sam "Bubba" Dino, Jr., sisters, Martha Winfield and Yvonne Sewell and her brother, William Butler.
A lifelong resident of Memphis, Bettye enjoyed cooking, crafting, traveling and being with her family. Her home was always full of friends and family and the smell of ravioli! She volunteered at Little Flower Catholic School where her sons, Tony and Angelo, attended. Along with her husband, Louie, she was a founding member and served on the board at Church of the Incarnation in Collierville, TN. She was involved in several organizations and clubs, including The Italian Ladies AMICO Club
Bettye is survived by her children, Ann Romeo Dino (Sam), Louis Tony Jr. (Nancy) and Angelo Jude Sr. (Judy) and her daughter-in-law, Lynn Romeo (Santo). Bettye leaves behind seven grandchildren; Alicia Fitzhugh (Bill, Richard "Ricky" Dino, Libby Lucchesi Kilpatrick (Linton), Louis Tony III (Basma), Angelo Jude Jr. (Kayla), Gabrielle Lucchesi Prewitt (Julian), Rachel Lucchesi Sanford (Mark), 11 great grandchildren and 2 great, great-grandchildren and host of other friends and family. She was dearly loved and will be missed and never forgotten.
Visitation will be held at St. Louis Catholic Church on Monday, June 10, 2024 from 9:00-10:00 AM with a funeral Mass following. Burial will be at Memorial Park Funeral Home and Cemetery following the Mass.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Bright Glade Nursing Home for their exceptional care, kindness and compassion during her time there.
