Betty Gail Dyer Ward's Obituary
Betty Gail Ward, 85 years of age, passed from this life on August 10th, 2022 at her home surrounded by family. She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Bobby Love Ward. Her daughters Leslie Gay Ward and Melanie Ward Morgan. She has four grandchildren Wesley Ward & (Alicia) Montague. Lauren Nicole Montague. Macy & (Malcolm) White. Sophie Rhea Morgan. Two sisters Sandra & (James) Stanfill and Pamela Edgin.
Betty was an amazing chef, seamstress, singer and listener. Her huge heart was the source that brought family and friends together for amazing gatherings. Memaw left us a message of eternal love. She taught us to forgive through her smile and to love each other as if we had no flaws. Her gaze was always compassionate and her hugs encouraging. Memaw wanted us to be good human beings, a united family and believers in the gospel. We believe that the flowers that bloom in the spring will be the ones that represent her on this earth. We will see new birds fly because Memaw brings nothing but magic to those who need it. A wonderful woman who God used to rejuvenate hearts and souls.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis, TN. Arrangements have been entrusted to Memorial Park Funeral Home & Cemetery 5668 Poplar Ave., Memphis, TN 38119 (901-767-8930).
