Betty Vick's Obituary
Betty L. Vick, age 89, passed away December 31, 2018. She was born September 4, 1929 to parents, Rebecca Wells and Ernest Sutherland.She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Sidney Dean Vick; parents; siblings, Neuva Mae Ashabranner, Ernestine “Bill” Dean, Georgia Virginia Sutherland, John Daniel Sutherland, and Walter R. Sutherland.She is survived by her sister, Barbara Logan; 3 sons, Sidney Dean Vick, Jr., Dwight Vick, and David Vick (Debbie); 3 grandchildren, Hannah (Peter), Andrew, and Amy.Betty was most known for her devout teaching of the Tabernacle in many churches throughout the South as well as the women’s ministries at Bellevue Baptist Church.Visitation will be from 1-2 p.m. and funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Sunday, January 6 at Memorial Park Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.For many years, she was a volunteer at Kings Daughters and Sons Home and Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital.
