Betty Jo Schoch's Obituary
Betty Jo Rhodes Schoch passed away on the 4th of March in Brighton, Michigan.
The third of six children, she was born in Memphis, Tennessee, on July 23, 1933, to Delton and Betty Rhodes.
Betty Jo met and married Robert (Bob) Harold Schoch after graduating from Germantown High School. They relocated to Flint, Michigan, where she worked as a Media Aide for 17-1/2 years at Woodland Elementary School.
Betty Jo and Bob were avid golfers, so in 1995, she and Bob retired and moved to Lake Tansi, Tennessee, where they were golf members of Lake Tansi Golf Resort.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Bob, and siblings Bobby, Jimmy, Dot, and Kay.
She is survived by her sister, Ann Davis, of Vermont, her children Patty, Greg, Cris (John) and Tim, grandchildren Jack, Sydney, and Max, as well as numerous nieces and nephews and the many dear friends she made in Michigan and Tennessee.
She will be laid to rest on March 25th at Memorial Park Funeral Home and Cemetery in Memphis, Tennessee.
The family asks that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made in her name to her favorite charity, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
