Betty Raber's Obituary
Betty Joyce Raber, 82, passed away January 2, 2013 at Methodist Hospital North. She was born May 13, 1930 in McMinnville, TN to Dudley and Gertrude Garner. She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Darrell Raber; three children, Gretchen Dickerson, Darrell Raber, Jr., and Amanda LaBuda (John); eight grandchildren, Steve, Dalton, Dustin, Rebekah, Janna, Ashley, Whitney, and John; one great-grandson, Hunter; five siblings, Marion Mayes, of Connecticut, Marvarene Vincent (C.E.), of Winchester, TN, Dudley Garner (Sue), of Melbourne, FL, Billy Garner (Jeanette) of Marietta, GA, and Pam Adamson (Hansel), of Hampton, GA. She was predeceased by her son, Derek Raber and brother, Charles Garner (Jessica). She was a member of First Evangelical Christian Church. She and her husband regularly volunteered with the Prison Fellowship and Memphis Latino Conexion. Visitation will begin at 9:30 a.m. followed by funeral services at 11 a.m., Saturday, January 5 at First Evangelical Christian Church on Ridgelake Boulevard. The family requests memorial donations be sent to First Evangelical Christian Church or Methodist Hospice Residence.
