Betty Beal Mize's Obituary
Betty Beal Mize, 86, of Byhalia, MS, passed away on January 6, 2024
Betty was born in Memphis, TN on April 13,1937 to parents Icy Fay Terry Brown and Jeff N Brown, who preceded her in death.
Also preceding her in death were her siblings, Joe Ann Brown, Terry Brown and Sandra Brown Lindsay.
She graduated Humes High School in 1955 and married Billy G. Beal that same year. They had 41 wonderful years together until his death in 1996.
She was a member of Parkway Village Baptist Church and Forest Hill Baptist Church where she enjoyed one of her favorite activities which was singing in the choirs.
Survivors include husband, John Mize, son, Mark (Suzy) Beal, daughters, Susan (Ken) Edmonson and Brenda (Mark) Banks. As well as stepson, Johnny (Laura) Mize and stepdaughter, Kelly (Jack) Bandara. She was graced with nine grandkids and 16 great grandkids, a brother-in-law, Joe Lindsay, many nieces and nephews and special friend and neighbor, Teresa Forbis.
Mom loved to laugh, joke and tease. She loved to sew and work puzzles and crossword puzzles. She never met a stranger and would openly share her faith and her love for the Lord. And she deeply loved being with her family.
The family will receive relatives and friends on Friday, January 12 at 10:00 a.m. with a funeral service to follow at 11:00 a.m. at Forest Hill Baptist Church, 3645 Forest Hill Irene RD, Germantown, TN, 38138
