Betty D. McCune's Obituary
Betty McCune was born on March 15, 1931, in Memphis, Tennessee, and passed away peacefully on December 20, 2025, in Bartlett, Tennessee.
Betty shared 75 loving years of marriage with her beloved husband, Herbert. Together, they built a life centered on faith, family, and devotion. She was the proud mother of four children—Jeffrey, Cindy, Tom, and Mike—and a cherished grandmother to four grandchildren. Betty was also joyfully anticipating the arrival of her first great-grandchild, expected early next year.
A lifelong believer in Jesus, Betty’s faith guided her life and relationships. She was deeply involved in her church community, which brought her great joy and connection throughout her life.
In her early years, Betty worked for Bell South while raising her family alongside Herbert. She was a dedicated wife and the matriarch of her family—organized, prepared, and always ready to support those she loved. Known for being strong in opinion yet quick with words of kindness, Betty was social, caring, and delightful to be around. She had a genuine love of learning and connecting with others.
Betty enjoyed many hobbies, including golf, sewing, playing the piano and singing, playing bridge, and participating in book clubs. These passions reflected her creativity, discipline, and love for community.
Betty will be remembered for her faith, strength, kindness, and unwavering devotion to her family. She was deeply loved and will be greatly missed.
Services for Betty will be held on Friday, December 26, 2025 at 1:00pm in the Fireside Chapel at Memorial Park Funeral Home. The family will receive family and friends for visitation an hour prior to the service from 12:00 PM to 1:00PM. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.
